12th Annual Schoodic Scramble : Blessed with sunny skies, 33 teams golfed their way through the Grindstone Neck and Blink Bonnie Golf Courses for a great cause. Over $27,000 was raised for the Eleanor Widener Dixon Memorial Clinic, a division of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. Participants and volunteers alike had a fabulous time for a great cause. Best Golf Tournament in Maine—Blink Bonnie : The Schoodic Scramble is sponsored each year by Edith Dixon 
and Alan Goldstein in support of the Eleanor Widener Dixon Memorial Clinic in 
Gouldsboro. Golfers were treated to lobster stew and ice cream sundaes to top 
off a weather-perfect weekend. The tournament is run by volunteers headed by 
tournament director Dick Babcock and assistant Henry Ashmore.

Schoodic Scramble Celebrates 2 Holes in One!!—Grindstone Neck : A pair of holes-in-one highlighted the 11th annual Schoodic 
Scramble played over the weekend at the Grindstone Neck Golf Course in Winter 
Harbor and the Blink Bonnie Golf Course in Sorrento. Golfer Jeff Wooster aced 
hole 4 at Grindstone Neck and later in the day, Peter Daley followed suit on 
hole 3.

Alvarez and Caron Are Winners at 17th Annual BHBT Open : Kebo Valley and Northeast Harbor Golf Courses hosted the playing of the 17th Annual Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Open this past weekend. This charity golf tournament run by community volunteers has become one of the best in the state. Adding to the excitement of this year’s tournament was Chris Carpenter of Thomaston scoring a hole-in-one at Northeast on hole 12. Top winner of the 36 hole tournament was Joe Alverez (138) and top winner of the 18 tournament was Tom Caron (72). Net proceeds of $25,000 will benefit the Southwest Harbor Medical Center, a division of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.
